Ruin or Revolution is the result of an extended process of collage undertaken by Ryts Monet and Andrea Steves over the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2021). Using a flatbed scanner, Ryts Monet spontaneously assembled images from books found in temporary apartments where he stayed in isolation, Andrea responded with quotes and texts, and they continued to exchange material (including long threads on WhatsApp), eventually scanning more images from Andrea’s apartment during Vienna’s long winter lockdown, until the layers took form as this publication. The resultant ideas and images recombine to gesture towards new narratives, possibilities, and a refrain: Ruin or Revolution?

"Oatfeels: The Tender Issue" is the last from this wonderful crew but we look forward to reading and supporting all their continued individual work. Join them and us at their release party on May 20th at E.M. Wolfman.
"Oatmeal is the kind of friend who makes you tea and brings you chocolate and texts you, “you are my heart!” when you’re feeling sad, and Oatmeal is all about building self-confidence in artists and validating your feelings and making space for you to heal and thrive and share your heart and make friends. And it’s about having fun and nourishing the world with some wonderful writers’ words."
i know it's really hard but lets take a slight departure from this god awful world that we live in and FEEL SOMETHING GOOD. or feel bad in a good way, i suppose is more accurate.
